I have only been on a bike that had some 318s. They were nice, but you know its a coil spring fork. In my experience with coil vs air the air fork is more plush.

Hey man. i have both a dj1 and a 4x, I like them both but the 4x is lighter and has compression control rather than just rebound and air assist. and they are only about 1/4 pound(112grams) difference in weight.
